Welcome to Mèo Maison! At Mèo Maison, we want to ensure the safety of our cats, visitors and staff. You are REQUIRED to read and sign our waiver before visiting and entering the cafe. 

By entering Mèo Maison, I hereby certify that I am over eighteen (18) years of age, and I am of sound mind at the time of the execution of this Waiver, Release, Hold Harmless, Covenant Not to sue and Indemnification Agreement (hereinafter “Release”) and agree to the terms set forth below.

In consideration of entering to Mèo Maison Cat cafe LLC, located at 1336 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington DC 20007

I, UNDERSIGNED ENTRANT, ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:

1.    I acknowledge that being around cats carries certain risks, including but not limited to scratches, bites, allergies, and any other potential injuries or harm that may result from interacting with cats.

2. I will treat the cats gently, kindly, and with respect and appropriately watch for signs of irritation or aggression from the cats

3. I knowingly, freely, and voluntarily execute this Release with such knowledge and assume full and sole responsibility for the risk of damage, death, personal injury and/or property loss arising from or in any way connected with my participation in the activities provided by Mèo Maison, including any injury, harm and loss caused by the negligence, fault or conduct of any kind on the part of Mèo Maison.

4. I am aware of, and fully understand, the inherent dangers involved in playing with cats and/or kittens, including the risk of damage, personal injury and death to myself, other persons, my property, and/or the property of others.  I further acknowledge that I will be participating in the activities in an indoor environment at the Premises. Participation at the Premises potentially exposes me to illness from infectious diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19, and the risk of serious illness and death from these infectious diseases do exist.  I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, injury, harm and loss related to the cat-related activities, including illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, even if arising from the negligence or fault of Mèo Maison, its staff, or any related entity, including but not limited to the Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.

5. All cats/kittens at Mèo Maison are from all different backgrounds

6. I agree to abide by all rules and regulations that Mèo Maison may impose on me regarding the cats and/or kittens and my attendance at the Premises. I agree to undertake all activities in a responsible manner. IF I AM UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO FOLLOW ANY RULES, MÈO MAISON WILL TERMINATE MY PARTICIPATION IN SUCH ACTIVITIES AND MAY EXPEL ME FROM THE PREMISES.  I WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY REFUND OF OUR FEES.

7. I have no physical or emotional issue(s), including, but not limited to, any allergies, which would adversely affect my ability to play with the cats and/or kittens in a safe and appropriate manner.

8. I agree not to engage in any activity that will injure or otherwise hurt the cats and/or kittens in any manner.

 SUPERVISION OF MINORS:

   If I am visiting the Cafe with a minor, I will supervise them closely to ensure their safety and the safety of the cats.

4. RELEASE OF LIABILITY:

   I, on behalf of myself and any minors under my supervision, release Mèo Maison, its owners, employees, and any affiliates from any and all liability for any injury, harm, or damage, including but not limited to personal injury or property damage, that may occur during my visit to the Cafe. I understand that this release of liability applies to all claims, whether known or unknown, arising out of my visit to the Cafe.

5. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES:

   In the event of a medical emergency involving myself or any minors under my supervision while at the Cafe, I authorize the staff of the Cafe to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf and understand that I will be responsible for any related medical expenses.

I have read this waiver and release of liability and fully understand its terms. I voluntarily and willingly agree to its terms by signing below.
